SUMMARY

Sells OEM Division products to customers while building and maintaining a strong relationship by operating as the lead contact for all matters specific to the customer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


General:

Understands and follows the MGS Vision, Mission Statement and Goals. Has knowledge of and understand the Competitive Advantage of MGS.


Primary:

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers by providing excellent service and support.
  • In conjunction with the Division Manager and VP Sales & Marketing prospect, qualify and capture new customers and opportunities within your region.
  • Identify growth opportunities within your region.
  • Maintain and build sales according to divisional strategies and goals.
  • Monitor and maintain gross margin percentage according to divisional goals.
  • Lead and participate in multiple Project Management duties as directed.
  • Follow and support division strategies to achieve divisional goals.
  • Communicate and work effectively with OEM team, other MGS teams and external teams as needed.
  • File reports as directed (e.g. Sales Reports / Customer Satisfaction Survey).


Competencies:

  • Well-developed sales skills with 5 or more years of similar experience.
  • Moderate to medium level mechanical aptitude.
  • Well-developed communication (oral & written) and presentation skills, Power Point and otherwise.
  • Ability to give sales presentation to internal and external high level executives.
  • Mid-level computer skills with experience in Word, Excel and able to learn company ERP program.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering prints.
  • Problem solving - gathers and analyzes information skillfully.


Measures:

  • Meet or exceed divisional sales forecast.
  • Meet or exceed gross margin divisional goal.
  • Maintain positive relationship with assigned customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B, A) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

PA or CO Vehicle Representative - Commercial Sales License, valid driver's license

Must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle while seated for periods of up to 6 hours on a regular basis. Travel by airplane, including flights lasting up to 6 consecutive hours in duration.
