FULL DESCRIPTION: 

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, responsible for talent acquisition role to fill job vacancies with qualified people while maintaining a positive candidate experience.  Using a variety of tools and resources to source candidates, to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains great employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calling, social media and employee referrals
  • Source passive talent through online sourcing channels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, associations, high schools, universities and technical colleges.
  • Coordinate and participate in external recruiting and networking events
  • Conduct and coordinate interviews with candidates and internal employees ensuring all screening, hiring and selection is done iin accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate candidate assessments and all necessary background and reference checks
  • Prepare and make hiring recommendations to hiring managers in the organization
  • Consult with HR Manager and hiring Manager on appropriate wage/salary to be offered.
  • Negotiate and extend offers of employment
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding with Human Resources Assistant, the Hiring manager and other areas as necessary.
  • Work with HR Manager to develop and implement Succession Management plants
  • Maintain and report on metrics for all recruiting activities
  • Consult with HR Manager to ensure that policies comply with federal and state laws

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and 2 plus years of recruiting experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) at a wide variety of levels within the organization. Strong interpersonal skills with a service orientation.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must demonstrate strong math skills with a high degree of accuracy.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and percentages.

 

RESONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.  Prioritizes departmental workflow needs to meet established turn-around times.


COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of; Human Resource systems; Applicant tracking system, Internet software; Exceptional proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite of products.
