The Production Scheduler will plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacture of industrial or commercial products to meet customer delivery requirements. This individual will establish and monitor inventory levels against forecasts while coordinating with Materials & Scheduling Manager, Sales, Engineering and Production Managers.


Production Scheduler Responsibilities:

  • Creates production schedule based on forecast and customer orders that will ensure complete and on time delivery.
  • Creates production plans for multiple manufacturing/assembly sites.
  • Maintains the production schedule for the facilities, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delay in receiving raw materials, availability of production equipment and manpower. Advises appropriate parties in the plants of the changes in the schedule.
  • Reviews monthly sales forecasts and adjusts master schedules accordingly.
  • Review inventory stocking levels and system forecasts that support both customer demand as well as inventory targets set by the company.
  • Confers with departments on production status to determine progress of assigned production and schedule attainments.
  • Confers with sales and engineering division to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Working closely with related departments on raw material issues (purchasing, shipping, receiving, production etc.)
  • Maintain data integrity within ERP system.


Production Scheduler Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing and scheduling experience in a multi-facility environment.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in ERP systems, Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
  • Superior communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced spreadsheet creation and manipulation.
