SUMMARY

Supports Production Planning through Inventory Control, data entry and analysis, report generation and other related tasks.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Production Planning

  • Creates Jobs in Epicor and Job Packets for distribution to Production based on the master schedule, including serial number generation and assignment.
  • Works with Service Part Coordinator to ensure the timeliness of Parts Orders.
  • Works with Master Scheduler and Purchasing to ensure the timely completion of jobs.
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy in labor and costing and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Monitors various Epicor reports and screens as well as Production Floor feedback to ensure for the timely arrival of materials for Production use and the accuracy of jobs in the schedule.
  • Processes Engineering Red-Line Changes with Master Scheduler to ensure job and inventory accuracy.

Inventory Control

  • Serves as a member of the Inventory Control Team.
  • Makes inventory adjustments as necessary.
  • Checks system for negative inventory values and reconciles as necessary.
  • Reconciles Physical Inventories and monthly Cycle Counts.

EDUCATION & / OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
