Plans and conducts activities concerned with the control and execution of manufacturing projects to include supervision of personnel, scheduling production and quality assurance activities.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
This position will supervise the activities of Manufacturing Personnel. Sixteen to Twenty Employees. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily review of scheduled operations, labor reporting, all printed packets, tracking parts through processes, and tracking Jobs /events.
- Assist manufacturing employees with their questions.
- Coordinate with outside services as needed.
- Ensure requirements of FOD program are adhered to.
- Ensure Project Specific Requirements are adhered to
- Administer training as required.
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within the facility.
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.
- Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Maintaining communication between employees and project team to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
- Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of the Quality Technicians for the Project and participates in the following activities:
- Understands ISO9001 procedures and documentation. Familiar with or able to become familiar with the AS9100 Quality System.
- Assists customer with AS9102 First Article Inspection process.
- Assure each manufacturing, test, inspection and verification step are completed in proper sequence as prescribe by prepared MDPs
- Take measurements and complete appropriate portion of inspection documents.
- Assure in the completion of reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality tools and equipment
- Computer skills
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately
- Relevant training and certification in industrial production to include AWS D1.1 Structural Weld Qualifications and mechanical assembly experience.
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
- MIG welding: 5 years (Preferred)
- Manufacturing Supervisory: 3 years (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
