FULL DESCRIPTION: 

SUMMARY

Responsible for performing all activities in support of EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) initiatives, New Employee Safety Orientation and Safety and Environmental training; ensuring compliance with local, state, federal and International regulations and agencies, managing facility safety processes to protect employees, the company, the environment, and provide a safe and healthy work place.


PURPOSE

Provide assistance and support in a broad range of accounting services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

AP Responsibilities:

  • Enter AP invoices entry.
  • AP payment entry, which includes payroll related online accounts.
  • Data entry for general entries and required recordkeeping.
  • Review vendor statements.
  • Expense report review / data entry.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

3 years of experience with the emphasis on benefits, HRIS, payroll and accounts payable duties or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and HRIS specific programs
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with management, coworkers, vendor
  • Ability to handle high confidentiality files and information.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A,A) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
